The Center for Ecoliteracy recently published a feasibility study calling for a comprehensive reform of the Oakland Unified School District school meals program. The report recommendations include creating a central commissary for the district, upgrading equipment throughout the campuses, raising new funds and setting a goal for local produce procurement.
