COMMITTEE MEETING

Project Review Committee Meeting

Tuesday, January 12, 2010
10:00 a.m.

The Project Review Committee looks at proposals for individual buildings, evaluating their potential to enhance the vitality of city life in San Francisco according to the policy priorities and principles of good urban design supported by SPUR.

Project Review Committee will resume it's efforts on January 12th at 10 AM. For our first meeting of the year we have a very exciting project to review: the Preferred Master Plan for Pier 70. We will be following up this review with a to-be-scheduled tour of Pier 70. For more information, please see below:

The Port of San Francisco is conducting a public planning process to produce a Preferred Master Plan for Pier 70, located east of Illinois Street between Mariposa Street and 22nd Street. The goals of the Master Plan are to identify a program that will rehabilitate and adaptively reuse significant historic structures, and integrate new development, shoreline open space and public amenities with the existing ship repair operations. The Port has convened a series of public meetings and hired three consultant teams to assist in this effort. The Project Review committee will be reviewing key elements of the Draft Preferred Master Plan.
