New approaches to protect healthy natural areas, farmland and habitat are emerging in the South Bay under several ambitious planning efforts: Conserving and Sustaining Agriculture in the Coyote Valley, Santa Clara Valley Habitat Plan, and A Conservation Vision: Water, Wildlife and Working Lands. These efforts are engaging communities, landowners and conservation groups to protect and enhance lands that are vital to the region’s health and quality of life.
