Access to retailers selling fresh food is not equally available throughout San Francisco. A number of city agencies, working with private sector partners, have been trying to improve the food retail environment in neighborhoods where healthy choices are currently lacking. Come hear Susana Hennessey-Lavery of the San Francisco Department of Public Health, Amy Cohen of the Mayor’s Office of Economic and Workforce Development, Larry Brucia of Sutti Associates and Jack Novatney of SRS Real Estate Partners as they discuss their successes, as well as the ongoing difficulties they face, in working with businesses to address the issue in Bayview-Hunters Point and the Tenderloin. This event is generously supported by The California Endowment.
