Exhibition Preview and Reception with Kate Stohr of Architecture for Humanity
Kate Stohr, co-founder and managing director of Architecture for Humanity, met with major donors at a pre-reception before the opening of the Classrooms of the Future exhibit. Architecture for Humanity is a charitable organization that seeks architectural solutions to humanitarian crisis. As the organization’s co-founder and managing director, Kate Stohr led the effort to secure design services and more than $4 million for community development and rebuilding in the wake of the Southeast Asia Tsunami and Hurricane Katrina. A former journalist and frequent public speaker, Stohr co-edited Design Like You Give a Damn and is the recipient of Wired magazine's 2006 Rave Award for Architecture.
