Willow Rosenthal and Novella Carpenter have been farming in Oakland for years. Authors of The Essential Urban Farmer, they have seen the explosive growth of interest in urban agriculture across the Bay Area. Sarah Rich, author of a new book, Urban Farms, saw a similar surge of interest and chronicled 16 different city farming projects during her cross-country travels. Join us for a conversation with the three authors about the recent evolution of urban agriculture and its future in a conversation moderated by Allison Arieff, editor of The Urbanist and contributing columnist to The New York Times.
