As SPUR ramps up its planning efforts at Ocean Beach, recent and ongoing improvements to public access in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area provide critical context and opportunities. Join Steve Griswold of the GGNRA and Kate Bickert of the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy as they provide an update on the Trails Forever initiative, a major campaign to connect regional open spaces to one another and the communities they serve. Launched in 2003 — and sponsored by the Parks Conservancy, National Park Service and Presidio Trust — Trails Forever is renovating and expanding park trails to connect areas north and south of the Golden Gate.
