Meals on Wheels: Mobile Food in Oakland

Lunchtime Forum

Oakland was one of the first cities to create a food vending program that permitted food trucks on private property and pushcarts on sidewalks, and the city later permitted mobile food for “group sites” to enable successful events like Bites Off Broadway and the renowned Off the Grid event at the Oakland Museum of California. Faced with increased demand, the city is again revising its regulations. Join us to hear how Oakland is making it easier to enjoy your favorite mobile food vendors across the city.
