The Bay Area's Greenbelt, At-Risk

While the Bay Area has made significant progress in the past couple of decades in stopping sprawl, nearly 300,000 acres across the region remain at risk of development. That’s the conclusion of Greenbelt Alliance’s recently updated report, At Risk: The Bay Area Greenbelt. We’ve had success in focusing growth into already urbanized areas, but what challenges still exist in protecting our open lands?
