Making Mind-Blowing Models

Lunchtime Forum

A key part of regional planning is putting together sophisticated models about the region that help answer questions such as what cities people are likely to live in, which policy tools will best shape development or what congestion might look like in the future. For years, staff at the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) have been running these complex models as part of Plan Bay Area. Come hear about how these models work, what they show and how they can shape better policies and plans.
