In 2014, Berkeley passed a first-in-the-nation tax on sugary drinks. This November, voters in both Oakland and San Francisco will decide whether to follow Berkeley's lead by passing taxes modeled after Berkeley’s so-called “soda tax”. In advance of these votes, attend a discussion with Berkeley city staff and researchers who have been instrumental in administering the tax and studying its impact.
