Getting to 50%: Renewable Power in California

Governor Brown has proposed expanding California’s renewable energy goals from 33% by 2020 to 50% by 2030. This would likely mean a substantial increase in “distributed energy resources,” such as community solar, energy storage and microgrids. Which cities and counties are best prepared for this evolution and how might it affect the Bay Area’s built environments?
