Often referred to as Oakland's "living room," Lake Merritt has not always been the public asset that it is today. Recent citizen advocacy led to a major city bond measure that invested nearly $200 million in Lake Merritt and other waterfront, creek and neighborhood improvements. Join us to hear the story behind this concentrated investment, what is still to come and what we can learn from Lake Merritt's success story.
