San José

Japantown Today

Tour

San Jose’s Japantown is a community gem and one of only a few remaining Japantowns in the country. Come see the sights, hear its unique history and learn about plans to develop the neighborhood’s corporation yard. This large block, once the city’s Chinatown, will be transformed into a mixed-use development featuring housing, shops, an urban plaza and a new Creative Center for the Arts. Generously sponsored by Kaiser Permanente.
