Evening Forum

There is an unprecedented amount of energy spent and focused on food today. Global, national and regional trends all influence the politics and economics of what makes it onto our plates, and while the Bay Area is a leader on many fronts, there is much we can learn from other parts of the country. Food journalists Tom Philpott of Mother Jones, Jason Mark of Earth Island Journal and Alemany Farm and Twilight Greenaway, former editor at Grist.org, will offer insight into the larger currents and challenges facing the food movement in a panel moderated by Allison Arieff, editor of The Urbanist and contributing columnist for The New York Times. Co-sponsored by Mother Jones.

With their most recent magazine, Mother Jones subscribers will receive free admission.
