Market and Van Ness: The Winds of Change

Lunchtime Forum

Market and Van Ness is one of the city's key crossroads, a pivot point between Downtown/Midmarket, Civic Center, SOMA and Hayes Valley. Its hulking buildings, including data centers and back-office uses have left it feeling empty and forgotten. But driven by nearby tech and arts uses, new housing and commercial projects promise to breathe new life into existing buildings and add new construction with more public-spirited designs. Join Marc Babsin of the Emerald Fund, Kearstin Dischinger of the San Francisco Planning Department and Glenn Rescalvo of Handel Architects for a look at whats on the horizon.
