With nearly 2,300 employees, an annual operating budget of over $700 million and nearly $10 billion in current and upcoming capital projects, the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) provides water and wastewater services to San Francisco, wholesale water to three Bay Area counties and hydroelectric and solar power for all city services. Join Ed Harrington, former SFPUC general manager and controller of the City and County of San Francisco, for a look back at his 28 years of public service, including major challenges and opportunities for his successor, and his thoughts on how San Francisco can continue to improve far into the future.
