This event will be held in San Jose.

California's diverse economy includes two iconic and historically distinct economic districts: Silicon Valley and Hollywood. A recent SPUR paper makes the case that the increasing integration of both economies is further argument for high-speed rail and a demonstration that California might be able to pay for the system on its own. Learn from SPUR Executive Director Gabriel Metcalf and Regional Planning Director Egon Terplan about our proposal for self-funding high-speed rail as a way to connect Hollywood and Silicon Valley.

This event is supported by the City of San Jose.
