The Tenderloin represents one of the most culturally diverse communities in the city. To honor the history of the jazz and arts culture born in this community, parts of the neighborhood have been designated as the Uptown Tenderloin Historic District. This designation restores some cultural integrity to a community challenged with poverty and economic disinvestment. Join Randy Shaw of Tenderloin Housing Clinic and BeyondChron on a walking tour that promises to illuminate the hidden treasures of the Tenderloin. $10. Limited to 25 people. SPUR members only.
