PACE (Property Assessed Clean Energy) financing arrived with great promise in 2008 as a means to unlock private capital to fund greening retrofits. The program recently underwent changes in response to political challenges at the federal level. Richard Chien from the San Francisco Department of the Environment will provide an overview of the new GreenFinanceSF-Commercial program and explain how PACE may be able to help existing commercial buildings become more green.
