The future of industrial land in the Bay Area

Lunchtime Forum

A large share of existing industrial land along the I-80/880 and US-101 corridors is already designated for housing, office space and retail. But what about industry? How will we balance the need for manufacturing in the Bay Area — while also reducing auto use and accommodating future growth on our existing urbanized footprint? With leading economist Linda Hausrath of Hausrath Economics Group and Karen Engel of the Oakland Chamber of Commerce.
