The new Old Mint

Tour

Constructed in 1874, the Old San Francisco Mint is nationally recognized for its architecture and its civic role in the history of our city. With Deborah Frieden, cultural planning consultant, and design team HOK, Page & Turnbull and Arup as your guides, hear how the restoration will convert the Old Mint into a museum celebrating San Francisco and the Bay Area through its history, its impact and its people. The Mint is set to become the most innovative sustainable National Historic Landmark in the U.S. and a model for conversion of existing and historic buildings.
