Privately Owned, Publicly Used: An Exploration of Downtown POPOS

Tour

Join Eva Liebermann and George Williams, both long-time SPUR members and co-authors of SPUR's new study on privately-owned, publicly used open spaces (POPOS), for a walking tour of downtown. You'll discover that while some POPOS are well designed, others leave much to be desired. Along the way, Eva and George, both city planners who worked on the original 1985 Downtown Plan, will share some of SPUR's recommendations for improving these important plazas, parks and gardens for public use.
