Copenhagen's waterfront

Lunchtime Forum

Copenhagen's Port & City Development Corporation promotes the design of new urban districts "of international class" in Orestad and the city's other harbor areas. As a result, the new construction is highly diverse, and reflects a commitment to mixed-use development — or places where living, working and playing are co-mingled. At present there are 16 significant new development areas — many of which include groundbreaking designs for new cultural facilities — currently in planning and construction. Join Linda Sobuta, FAIA, for the second part of a three-part series on waterfronts in Northern Europe.
