Addressing climate change has become a vital issue in urban planning. A groundbreaking new book, "Growing Cooler," shows how compact development and smart growth are key tools to reducing vehicle-related emissions. Co-author Jerry Walters will present the book's key findings, and discuss ways that smart growth can be implemented in the context of California's emerging climate change rules.
