San Jose Policy Director
Jaclyn is responsible for putting SPUR’s urban design, transportation, land use and economic development ideas into action in San Jose. Prior to joining SPUR, Jaclyn lived in Chicago and worked on community engagement for Participatory Budgeting Chicago and Victory Gardens Theater as well as neighborhood placemaking for the Rogers Park Business Alliance and the Lakeview Chamber of Commerce. She also previously served as the director of programs and community initiatives at the Arts & Business Council Nashville. In all of her previous roles, Jaclyn built relationships with a range of civic and community partners to leverage resources and create strategies in order to increase economic opportunity, advance local culture and build strong neighborhoods.
Jaclyn earned a master’s degree in urban planning and policy from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a bachelor's degree in political science and theatre performance from Belmont University.
