Adhi Nagraj is a Project Manager at MidPen Housing Corporation where he is redeveloping 60 units of public housing into 160 new units of affordable senior housing. In just over one year at MidPen, Adhi has won competitions for affordable housing projects in three Bay Area cities - one each in the North Bay, East Bay and Peninsula. Prior to working at MidPen Adhi was a Project Manager at Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation where he developed special needs housing in partnership with Glide Church, and a senior housing project which was the first in San Francisco to close on ARRA financing.
In 2010, Adhi was appointed by former Oakland Mayor Ron Dellums to serve as a Commissioner for the Oakland Housing Authority, which operates over 1,600 public housing units and 13,000 Project-Based voucher Section-8 units in Oakland. Adhi serves on the Budget Sub-Committee to establish priorities for the $260MM budget and 350 employees. Adhi is also on the Board of Directors of RAILS, a non-profit organization overseeing the redevelopment of West Oakland's historic train station at 16th/Wood Street. He also sits on the Board of Directors of Youth Uprising, an organization dedicated to enriching the lives of East Oakland youth.
Adhi is a graduate of Brown University and Columbia Law School, and is a licensed California attorney.
